Zski business plan

Since we are not looking for investors with money, and only time, this business plan is not comprehensive, but should give anyone interested in the idea enough information to know that we are serious business people, and if you choose to get involved, we are organized enough to insure that people will get their products, people will get paid, and there will be some great opportunities to participate in a ground floor opportunity to build a great new sports oriented company.

The Purpose of the company is to build a business with a co-operative structure to stimulate demand in a single ski slalom type snow ski and produce binding systems, eventually skis, clothing, etc. The goal is to enable the founding members to live their dream lifestyle, having their skiing pay for their skiing and possibly a lot more.

1. The business

a. Description - to market and sell binding systems for a single or slalom type snow ski system. Eventually to buy all types of snow or water periferials at wholesale prices to enable the company to pass on some retail savings to co-operative members.

b. Marketing - Initially, marketing will be done word of mouth (handing out cards on the slopes when someone asks about the ski - and plenty of people do) and through the internet. When feasable (several thousand Zskiers) possible territories will be assigned or sold to encourage the development of retail outlet trade.

c. Competition - There really is none. A few people have tried to launch similar products, but the uniqueness of the opportunity to be an owner in a new ski business we believe will make the difference by creating the demand pull from the market. We just have to get enough people and young kids to try it and they will get enthusastic.

d. Operating proceedures - Most communication, agreements, business organization will be done through Waterworks AG (a Swiss corporation) until enough demand justifies the financing of an american subsidiary.

e. Personell - Personell will be contracted from current personell working with WaterWorksAG, so costs can be kept at a minimum. Michael Laine and Tom Shea will be the principals. Mike, has a successful background in direct sales for 20 years, developing or founding companies in more than 9 countries, and holds a degree in Finance and Banking from University of Arkansas, and an MBA. Tom managed his own business for 15 years, successfully skiing more days on Zski than Mike (well over 500 days), and has a masters in Machete Magic from the University of Carve Turns.

f. Business insurance - insurance will be standard insurance covering Waterworks AG. Switzerland is renowned for the insurance industry and all involved companies are fully insured.

g. Financial data - Due to the structure of the business model, and the nature of the product (readily available parts packaged together for self assembly), very little money will be needed.

2. Financial data - will be available to founding members first at the end of the financial year of 2005, and will available only to shareholders.

3. Premises - Waterworks AG premise about 20 minutes from Engleberg and Titlis ski area (www.titlis.ch). This includes administrative offices, telemarketing, service, and warehouse space. Premises in the USA will be in the back of Ole's van.
